About Our Adult Foster Home

Welcome to our Adult Foster Home, where we are dedicated to providing the highest quality care and a warm, inviting environment for our residents. With over 20 years of experience, we specialize in level 3 dementia care, ensuring that every individual receives the attention and support they deserve. Our team is committed to creating a home-like atmosphere and preparing homemade quality food to meet our residents' dietary needs. We take pride in making our residents feel like family, and we strive to make a difference in their lives every day.

We are Brad and Shari Kroh.  We’ve been together since 2012, and married in 2014.  Brad and I are the owners of The Kroh’s Nest, LLC.  I am the licensee and the administrator.  I will oversee the day to day running of the home, as well as the resident care.  Brad is the finance manager, activities, transportation and maintenance.  Together, we are The Kroh’s Nest!

Brad has spent his livelihood in woodworking and building/remodeling homes.  Brad and his family were owners of two successful small businesses–Chico Paper Company in Chico, CA and Western Winds in the Eugene/Springfield area.  Brad worked alongside his Mom and sister.

My first job in caregiving was in 1999.  I knew within the first three days as a caregiver, that this was much more than just a job…it was MY calling!  The honor of caring for others has been the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done.  After caregiving for six months, I happily accepted a promotion as a Resident Care Coordinator.  For the next ten years, I would manage my own home of 12-14 staff and 15 residents.  In addition, I served as an interim manager of other homes, while training upcoming managers for the company.  It was with this company that I learned the proper way of taking care of residents.  On a daily basis, I was able to see the fruits of my hard work enriching the lives of my wonderful residents.  While they needed help with things like getting dressed, they gave me much more than I could ever do for them!  It’s difficult to describe, but I learned then by opening my heart to my residents, they would become a part of my soul.  While caregiving is a “labor of love, it has given me meaning and purpose in my life, that’s irreplaceable.

In 2023, our dream of opening our own adult foster home was born! We’re dedicated to fulfilling our vision of providing only the highest standard of care, to enrich the daily lives of those we serve.  We invite you to come beside us, and let us be a part of your family!
