Our TOP priorities are:

**Adult foster homes in Oregon have three classification levels. The level that a foster home is classified as, depends upon the years of caregiving experience that the licensee has worked. I, Shari Kroh, am the licensee. I have 18+ years of experience caring for others. Most of my caregiving experience, and all of my managerial experience, has been in working with the elderly population, specializing in memory care. I have cared for most of my residents through the end of their life. A special part of my heart is in providing comfort for those whose time to pass has come. In the past, I’ve worked in many various healthcare settings that were within my job scope at that time. Some of the settings that I have experience in are: the medical and surgical ICU as a certified nurse’s aide and unit secretary, skilled nursing home and private in-home care, as well as working in memory care as a Resident Care Coordinator. While I have worked in different settings and I have many different experiences, I acknowledge the benefit in taking direction from those that are more credentialed and knowledgeable than I am. I am experienced and will work as a team with my resident’s health care professionals to ensure my residents get the very best of care available and that all things are completed properly and thoroughly, as ordered by the Doctor, nurse, therapist, etc. The standard of care we live by and conduct business by is simple: we treat your loved one as if he or she is our brother or sister, or parent or grandparent. Learning all we can in the assessment and pre-assessment processes, is a very important tool in our role as providers. As mentioned above, our SWORN COMMITMENT is to protect our residents and advocate for them in all we do: at every moment, and in every single decision we make. We are deeply committed to protecting the rights, dignity and choices of our residents. The heart of our philosophy is to ensure each individual resident’s voice is heard and respected. We will always proactively work to create a safe and supportive environment where EVERYONE feels valued, empowered, and comfortable to express their needs and preferences. Being vigilant with open communication and personalized support, we strive to uphold our resident’s rights and promote their independence, comfort and happiness everyday and in ALL we do here at The Kroh’s Nest. We thank you, in advance, for any opportunity that we are allowed to become a part of your family!!
